In chapter 10, what basic strategies are used for 1, 2, 6 and 8 decks? I see the basic strategies in appendix B of the book, wasn't sure what was used for the simulations in chapter 10 though.

All the monetary accumulations full time in thousand AND thousands of hours of play came from memorizing the indices w/near mathematical precision and BR building, having more than sufficient top bets to cushion tthe fluxes.
My take on these comments waste time/energy instead of the inner confidence to just go out and DO IT!!!
You have allllways been more than gracious w/prompt explanations. Is it not true w/over 100 top bets in reserve, why the hell spend so much concern on SD?
100 TB in reserve takes many hours of BR building; I have experienced 11 consecutive losing days twice, but survived by clearing the self doubt and going forward.....not an easy psyche to do.
Did I ever sit in a hotel room trying to figure how many SD'S I've experience? HELL NO
IT'S not supposed to be easy.
But when looking back the obstacles are worth getting off your ass and doing it!

I think the discussion of standard deviation arose when trying to compute the N0, which, of course, is just the reciprocal of SCORE. That value IS important, and you need standard deviation, or variance, to calculate it.

These discussions are really long, and I am not petition enough to read into them. All I know is that variance is real but standard deviation is just a scientific term to help understanding variance. These two terms SCORE and N0 are Don’s inventions in Blackjack and they are a trademark of his achievements. Right?
No, N0 is Brett Harris's baby. SCORE is mine. Note, again, that they are really the same thing and that N0 is simply one million times the reciprocal of SCORE.
