Hello Everybody!
I have been away for quite some time. I miss you all....I really do. That said, I am thinking about renewing my GC membership....if I am going to play the game, "I need to keep up with the game".
After being "out of the business" for about the last 3 years, I have made 2 recent trips to MS. During last trip, in a store that I was FB'd (flat-betted) in years ago, but still gives me great comps, out of losing and sheer boredom, sorry, "BUT I WENT PROGRESSIVE"!
And, in about 5 minutes, I got to "step away from the table" and meet the new Shift Casino Manager. Very polite and professional....just quite simply: "Sir, you were told in 20xx, that if you want to play BJ here, that you cannot raise your bets".....in response, "Sorry, I did not know that still applied, etc.".....FIVE MINUTES!
Ironically, when I was FB'd....I was too drunk to CC (actually still could, but did not want to), and was playing, God-Forbid, Progessive....and kind of same as stated above!
Whatever, ALMOST to the point of this post, my Girlfriend and I will be going to Hot Springs next week for their Horse-Races at Oaklawn....kind of stupid name, if you ask me....how can you have a lawn with Oaks?...."Into the turn, LV's Bear lundges ahead, and hits an oaktree".
Anyhow, for the Horse-Races, I plan to, as I usually do, buy a Racing Form, look at last 3 races for each horse for similar conditions, calculate a Speed-Rating, then add/subtract points for Jockey's win %, Owner's win %, etc., then hopefully ID "medium Pay-off" horses that all of the experts have missed......if history repeats itself, while WE have not been to Oaklawn, She will just pick CUTE names, and do pretty well!.....AND, I will be betting Max. on the Longest shot, in the Last race of the day!...in an attempt to just get even.
So, moving right along, Oaklawn's Website indicates that:
1. They have Poker.........ZZZZZZZZZ!
2. They have BJ............looks like a Video game.
3. They have VP.
4. They have Slots.
Further, due to their limited schedule, I will presume that MAJOR Comps are not a consideration.
THEREFORE, my questions are, to those who have been there and/or know:
A. Any live BJ? Video BJ SD, DD, CSM, etc.?
B. VP remotely playable?
C. Slot payback?

Pleae hold the FLAME....we just want to get away from the real world for a few days....have some fun, and hopefully, minimize our neg. EV, and maybe, just maybe, get a free COMP'd hot dog!
