Though I primarily play 6-deck games, I sometimes find a favorable 2-deck game. So far, I've just been using the 6-deck index numbers. This leads me to two questions:
1) What is the disadvantage (in terms of expected win percentage) of using 6-deck indices with 2 decks?
2) What are the correct 2-deck high-low indices? Professional Blackjack only gives numbers for single- and 4-deck games.

Don't know, don't care. Minimal I'd say, when compared to the brain drain.

In chapter 10 of Blackjack Attack v.3 you'll find the Ill 18 and the Fab 4 indices for HiLo SD, DD, 4D, and 6D.
(And a lot of other good stuff to boot.)
After that I think the next two signifigant 2D indices might be 8v5(4) and 8v6(2).
After that you are entering the land of diminishing returns for many players. I'm not sure I know a single negative count and the remaining positive counts are marginal (I think!) For me, the thought of committing 145 indices to memory makes me nervous.

I certainly agree that the returns to be gained from learning a new set of complete indices are slight.
Nevertheless, and even if just from intellectual curiousity, I would like to learn what the precise disadvanage of using 6D indices for a 2D game is, and what the index numbers are (and, yes, I know I can just "buy the book" for the index numbers).
