Need a little help from some playing professionals. I've played the 6 deck shoe game for many years using the Hi Lo count and betting quarters( 1-5 split).I play approximately 800 hours per year. A friend insists that I could increase my profets considerably by using the Revere Point Count.Any advise or suggestions?
While I don't know much about the RPC vs HiLo question, you can certainly increase your profit with a wider spread. 1:5 is too small for 6D unless you are wonging. 1-12 is marginal for "play-all"... based on my experience
Blackjack Attack by Schlessinger has a Chapter devotes to count system comparisons, and their performance with various games/decks.
I would recommend you buy the book, as that is only one of the golden nuggets in that book. Offhand, I seem to recall that while RPC outperforms Hi-Lo in your game, the difference is no more than adding +10-15% to your win rate, PROVIDED you play RPC to the level that you play your Hi-Lo.
Also, you can try BJ.Stats, where I believe some simulation data is available that allows comparison of count systems. I don't recall if RPC is in there though.
