JACKS&ACES,
You failed to note what count system you use, nor what Risk of Ruin (RoR) you are willing to accept, so I made a few assumptions.
I assumed the game is 4D, S17, DA2, DAS, with 80% pen (41 cards cut off) with four total players, and that you are using the HiLo Sweet 16 system (that's HiLo with just the 16 most important indexes, not including splitting X's). I further assumed that you are willing to accept a RoR of just under 10%.
According to CVCX, spreading $5 to $90 optimally produces the following "Opt" bet schedule, while using rational bets produces the "Rat" schedule:
.
TC Opt. Rat.
<1 $5 $5
+1 $13 $10
+2 $30 $25
+3 $47 $50
+4 $63 $75
+5 $80 $90
>5 $90 $90
I should have put more info in the text. I do not wish to lose any of it,but I am very willing to lose it all. I do not know what is meant by sd/hr or rat. I have been using the K.O count. Thanks again!
JACKS&ACES,
Sorry about the confusing abbreviations! "Rat." just means "rational", which means that the bets are what some (or at least Norm W.) would consider to be "normal" bet sizes... in other words, betting $52 is a lot more unusual at the BJ table than is betting $50. "SD/hr" stands for "Standard Deviation per hour", where "per hour" in CVCX generally means "per 100 rounds", since the default setting is 100 rounds per hour. The Standard Deviation is a measure of how "volatile" the game is. You can think of this as representing how big the "swings" in your result may be. Approximately two-thirds of the time, after one hour of play your actual result will fall within one Standard Deviation of the Expected Value. For instance, in my previous post when I wrote:
The "Opt." schedule has an average bet of $16.12, an IBA of 1.540%, a Win/Hr of $24.83, with a SD/Hr of $314.65
.
RC Opt Rat
<-1 $5 $5
-1 $14 $10
0 $25 $25
+1 $38 $25
+2 $52 $50
+3 $66 $50
+4 $80 $75
+5 $97 $100
+6 $114 $100
+7 $129 $125
+8 $148 $150
>8 $150 $150
Thanks again, I will let you know after I come back. I am going to play on the 1st thru 4th. I appreciate your help very much.
Full Kelly would be about one hand of $18 units at each 0.5% advantage....so bet the true count -1 in $15 units with $5 or $0 when you don't have an edge. (or two hands of $10 for each 0.5% advantage) and bet as high as the count calls for it.
Example...
<-1 bet nothing,
>-1 and <+1 bet 1x$5
>+1 and <+2 2x$5
+2 2x$10
+3 2x$20
+4 2x$30
.
.
.
+12 2x$110
.
.
.
and on to infinity.
It is easy to confuse the two. Isle is pretty tolerant with established players. If his top bet is generally never above $100 they'll barely notice him.
I have played there several times. I have either won 200 to 300 or broke even. I would say that they know my face. I have never bet 100.00 ever. After all the help I have received I think I will start with a green then drop to 2 red and make my spread 10-1.Is it reasonable to think over the 5 days I'm at the coast I could double my money? I think I'm a very good player. Thanks Everyone!
Just bet $5 to 2x$90 and use full kelly and re-size your bets each trip. Betting $25 off the top and anything less than absolute table minimum is a huge waste of money with your limited bankroll. You're just creating variance when you don't need to. If you want to grow your bankroll you need to play good games, lots of hours, and don't waste money with cover bets when you don't need to. Shop for the best dealers as it makes a big difference there.
And whatever you do DO NOT TIP a PENNY. You can't afford it. Don't order drinks...get them from the self-service thing as you can't afford to tip.
25K bank
Usually play the $10 game in HL. $25 off top to 2 x 100 drop to table min in negative rather than wong out.
Very infrequent toke. Get coke from self serve.
Attention I have received = half shoe. Left soon after, returned different shift to normal pen.
