hello everybody I just have a simple question im hoping. I played at a casino off the strip and I got backed off. I was told I could play anything except blackjack. Am I done with this place forever? Or can I wait for a certain period of time to go back? When should I go back or shouldn't I. Please help.

Depends on how memorable you were though.

Give it some time, hit them on a different shift, anon of course, and shorten your sessions.

Add a hat, grown a beard, get a sex change (lol) etc.

How long to wait is debatable. I'd give it at least 2-3 months but others may say 1 month.

thanks..problem is, I look young, so usually they ask to see id how old I am...Maybe since Im older they wont bother..but when January rolls around, it will be a year..Is that long enough? :/

for at least 6 months to a year, if you're well known you should stay away several years. If you go back and get popped right away chances are you'll be trespassed and you'll be unable to even set foot inside again without a chance of being arrested.

It's Vegas, there are plenty of other places to play blackjack.

Go back but be careful. Start on a different shift. When you go back in look around for awhile before you play to see who is working in the pit. See if you recognize who told you not to play. Sometimes bosses change shifts. No one took your picture and you were not back roomed so don't worry. Just go and play your game but don't look nervous or shifty eyed and don't stare at the bosses. A few months later is OK to go back. Since it's been almost a year it's a no brainer to return unless you caused some big attention to yourself when they asked you to not play anymore 21. I have been asked the same thing as you have many times over and I always go back as long as the game is good. One time I went back very soon and they said " you're not suppose to play BJ" and I replied "oh, I thought it was for only that day."

In Old Europe generalized identy checks at the entrance have been compulsory since Casinos existed.So once you are barred there is no turning back even in a disguise since your name and birth date will give you away.Using a false passport is too risky. The only alternative is to sue the Casino with an uncertain outcome.

So your saying not to go back at all again or are you just saying how it used to be in Europe?

I spoke about the difference between Europe and the USA. After 9/11 I expected the US-authorities to get tougher on identy since the Casino is the ideal place for money-laundering.But apparently the casinos were completety forgotten in the Patriot Act to the delight of card counters and....criminals.

...CTRs aren't enough? Those were the original anti-money laudering measures and seem to be doing the job.

Besides, what business is it of government or anyone else whether or not I patronize, let alone enter, a casino -- or any other type of business, for that matter.

In my own country (Switzerland) the mistrust goes so far that the government cannot take any big decision without the explicit consent of the people (direct democracy).We can even enforce constitutional amendments by people's initiatives.
But I still think when it comes to the prime task of government which is the protection of its citizens they should be given the means to act.

The lower your stakes were/are the safer you will be.

..not so sure it would be doable in the U.S. with a population of over 310 million.

You have a lot of casinos in Switzerland. Where do most of the patrons come from?

...and I have a feeling you know the answer.From the 8 million inhabitants almost 2 million are foreigners but when I look at the faces in the casino I would say that more than half of them don't have a Swiss passport.
As an illustration of direct democracy: we just voted an amendment that asks for the automatic expulsion of foreigners convicted of a crime ...against the will of government and parlament.
I didn't say that America should adopt our system. The USA has a different role in the world and for that purpose its political system is just fine.
