Heat Question

I was playing a SD game recently and after about an hour had huge stack of chips in front of me. At this point a PC comes over to my table. He had his back to the table and leaned towards the dealer. Obvioulsy he didn't want anyone at the table to hear what he had to say. I didn't hear the slightest murmur from him, but he did say something. The the dealer then said a number, which just happened to be the amount that I bought in for. Now this wasn't the same dealer that was there when I bought in, but I thought I saw her look at me when she said the number. I immediately colored up and headed for the nearest exit after the PC left. So, is it possible that this PC was asking how much I had bought in for and the this dealer knew, despite not being the dealer I bought in with?

Anyone playing above a certain level is tracked, even if they do not give a players card or request to be rated. The player is simply tracked as "Table 24, seat 3" or whatever.

The PB asking the dealer about your buy-in is not in and of itself cause for alarm - after all, monitoring the players is part of his job.

However, it indicates that you are no longer "below the radar," that is, they have noticed you, and it might be a good time to end the session.
