Cashed in too many chips at the same time. Had to provide my I D. I ask why. The lady said; "...for tracking of the chips.". I almost told her to give me back the chips, but I felt I was beyond the point of no return at that point. Now I don't feel comfy using my player card there in the future. I will not do that again.
I really feel I compromised my "born looser act" on this one.
if it was over 5k it may have been for some IRS requirement but I thought that was 10k, I could be wrong. Its just such a PATHETIC comment on their part to say "chip tracking". They took copious notes of your play, they recorded every second of your visit, they count every chip they own and now your giving them their chips BACK and somehow its supposedly to "track" the chips !?!?!! Whats to track? they now have their chips back - end of story. If they dont want your ID when you buy in they dont need it when you buy out. The person who said that was probably just parrotting what management told her to say if anyone objects to showing ID but its just such an insultingly idiotic response I would have told her to give me my ships and I would have cashed them in little bits all over the casino.
Any idea in general what is the minimum that might get a request for ID? I think I read in Comp City that they cound legally ask for ID if a person cashed in for $3000. Thanks
