In a thread below, Thetahoecounter stated that the correct Basic Strategy for 11vA in Single-Deck Blackjack is
"If dealer hits soft 17 Double your bet.
If dealer stands on soft 17 Hit."
Don Schlesinger disputed this and stated that Double-down is the correct answer, whether S17 or H17. Thetahoecounter then quoted extensively from Wong's out-of-print Winning Without Counting in support of his argument.
The good news : Cacarulo says "Double Down all the time is the correct answer."
The bad news : Cacarulo says "Too much work lately and no time for BJ."
