Going to Tunica, anyone with latest info??

Headed to Tunica in the near future, interested in any trips reports or information that might help me. I have been there many times and am pretty familiar with the good and the bad (I like Fitz), but it has been over a year since I have been out that way.

P.S.-- Hi Opt I with aces side count. I don't play shoes if I can help it. Normal unit is 3 reds, but I have been known to sit at the green tables every now and then.

Last time I was at the fitz, I had trouble finding dealers with good pen. May have to do more shopping then usual.

That sucks. I used to get pretty good DD games there but I guess maybe too many ppl found out about it and they had to tighten up. Oh well, as you said-- I'll just have to shop around.

games at Fitz. It's not where I stayed but was my preference for playing.

The place has only been around 10 years. How do they manage to get their rooms so worn down and dirty in that small amount of time? It takes a Holiday Inn 30 years to get that crappy.

And the pit bosses at the Fitz are the most chickenshit at backing people off. They have to wait until you are alone so no squares or dealers will find out. I bet a purple unit there all the time with this knowledge. I hire a local square. He is always within 2 feet of me. My 'backoff bodyguard'. And I think they are the only casino so cheap in Tunica as to call over to verify if purple are missing. Because of this I just ask for a few trays of black when I am done playing. Ha!

I have never run into the "chicken-shit" pit bosses. However, I do not bet purple or even black chips. In fact, the pit always seems to be very willing to comp r/f/b for my modest play (which is probably why I always stay there). I am just a "grinder"-- a good card counter with a decent understanding of the game and a modest bank roll, if I can manage to win at the "comp game" while grinding out a profit from the tables then that adds quite a bit to my bottom line. In fact, the free rooms and the comp buffets help increase the frequency on my trips, otherwise I would have to save longer in between sessions to pay for these things.

I JUST STAYED AT THE FITZ IN L.V. AND THE BEST THING ABOUT THE PLACE WAS THE ROOM. THEY ARE PRETTY MODERN AND CLEAN FOR CHEAP. MY POINT, SEND A LETTER TO THEM ADDRESSED TO GENERAL MANAGER AND COMPLAIN.

My theory is that they allow people from Mississippi stay in them, and the people that clean and maintain them are locals. Remember 10 years ago the majority of Tunica didn't even have indoor plumbing.
