Game not BJ: Super 8 Race

Has anyone had experience playing these advantageously? Any suggestions as to when credits on the bonus meter make the game "playable". Lund says NEVER in his book - or rather, that even though it may become advantageous at some point, the length of time and variance inherent in obtaining the bounus at such point still makes it a bad play. Oh yeah...does the bonus ever payout automatically, like, say after 50,000 credits? (On Ring 'Em Up, in a similar game from a different manufacturer the bonus is paid out autmatically after 25,000 credits have been accumulated).

Not uncommon to see two machines side by side "maxed out".

I recently saw a guy playing this machine when the credits were
around 20,ooo. I believe they max out at 25,000. I was going to bed.
I, after reading Lund's book, was thinking this guy was an idiot. I
overheard him tell a slot attendant that he was not going to leave
the machine until he hit it. The next moring when I was back in the
casino, to my amazement, he had hit it. I do not know what it cost
him though. My opinion of Lund is that he does error on the side of
caution in most of his suggestions. But until I got information
from a better source, I still would not play Super 8 Race.

However, there seems to be a deadlock in opinion as to whether these things have a "max out" point at which they automatically payout the credits on the bonus meter. KK says this never happens, while bj says he thinks it's when the meter reaches 25,000 credits.

Does anyone want to break the deadlock - anyone actually witness them above 25,000 credits? Funny, Lund makes the statement "these can be as high as 40,000 credits". Perhaps this is the highest he's ever seen on a machine. But if they have no Auto Pay point, why give readers that 40-thousand point level as how "high they can get"? Could they not reach, 60-, 80- even 300-thousand and above??!!

maxed at 25,000 too. Would agree Lund erred on the side of caution or as in the latest book he clearly didn't have enough experience to be writing about some of the machines.

...what kk and bj mean when they say they believe the machines "max out" a 25,000 credits on the bonus meter ---> that is, that when the bonus meter reaches this point, any additional funds added to the machine no longer results in the bonus meters ascending further. I originally thought you guys meant that the funds payed out "automatically" at this point. I'm gonna stay away from this machine, I think. Thanks again for the comments, kk and bj
