How bad are 6 to 8 deck games that have 75% penetration. DA2, S17, Split to 4 hands, late surrender, DAS, split aces only get one more card. Anybody out there know if this is a game worth playing? I play mainly at foxwoods and mgm at foxwoods.
I play 1000 hours a year and 85% of my play is at similar games in atlantic city (even worse since AC doesnt have surrender) These games are crappy but definately beatable. Need a good spread and bankroll and dont play the negative shoes is all.
bathroom breaks, telephone breaks, "this shoe is killing me, I'm going to wait for the next", move to the next pit, move to the next casino. In bigger casinos just get up and find a new table. I beleive the original poster was talking about foxwood, which has several casinos with probably 100 blackjack tables.
Think of this; if a casino has many active BJ tables, wouldn't you rather just table hop to any other table rather than grind through a significantly negative shoe? Keep in mind, a count of zero is always better for you on average than minus anything. Just act like a superstitious table hopper and get off of negative play situations. You will eventually find many ways to do this. Sometimes you can get away with some back-counting and sometimes just break things up and just hop over to another table and begin play at zero count. Do not appear to be methodical and calculating. It is also less conspicuous to table-hop if you don't sit down in the first place. I often do not even sit down unless the count gets to +4 or better.
