Almost all the previous free board posts are now contained in the free archives. See the link to the left.
'Vegas Life' and 'Books-Software' are now forums on Green Chip. Presently the only free board is this one, but all topics are welcome.
The changes were made to streamline the administrator's task of monitoring the site, and to improve quality, content, and security. There were some issues with several posters leaking important information and having an openly hostile approach to posting here. Hopefully, you will find the new format as useful as before, although some have complained that they feel they have been 'short-shoed' by the changes. If you decide to join Green Chip, you will find that the meat and potatoes served there will satisfy the hunger whetted by the appetizers on the free page. Help yourself to whichever 'vittles' you prefer. I think almost all green chippers now visit the free page regularly, so questions you may have about Vegas life will receive attention here as well as any other topics you entertain.
Unfortunately, Parker has become a staff member at AP.com, so his helpful posts about downtown Vegas are quite infrequent now. Any specific questions you have will be answered here, or you can consult the archives.
The 99 cent shrimp cocktail is still in effect at the Golden Gate.

Welcome back Tantush its been a long time. I hope everything worked out with your little casino mishap. I know its been some years but I still wonder about that incident and for that reason I have never gone back to that casino. Your right there is a lot of change in the air but you will see a lot of our favorite posters still here and on RGE21
decide to write that book
i never miss you posting, read all of them
what is you're playing style like
i think probably a level 2 or 3 count, very sophisticated
i also wonder if you are associated with this site as investor or the like?
you like shrimp? i like mountain trout but never find it in the casino
I use the classic Hilo system with Snyder's 'High Low Lite' index blocks, along with DD''s variations of risk averse indices for soft doubling. When I can, the 'Fab Four' guide my surrender practices. Keeping things simple in the shoe game works to allow me to employ a lot of social cover without sacrificing betting efficiency. I never split tens, although I am entertaining a fantasy of hitting a casino I will never want to play again and start firing away at +4 and +5 TC just for the shock value. It is a very potent EV play, but I just can't see ruining my current stock's value for a couple of cents' EV in the local stores.
My playing style is based on the conservative example set by 'Joliet Jake' Blues. You may remember him from the Chicago based movie with Dan Ackroyd....
Trout are never in season in Vegas buffets, unfortunately. You have to travel to the Upper Peninsula to sample their tasty flesh firsthand.
Thanks for the encouragement. Security requires that I not disclose any plans for a book. The screenplay format is probably a better fit for my plans, anyway. I have been in talks with Tom Cruise to play the webmaster character....and it looks as if we might get Sandra Bullock to be Ima Counter.
Seriously, there are some ferocious good writers as well as veteran players on the Green Chip. You should check it out. Even though I have only a few months' experience as an advantage player, I am playing almost as well as the seasoned pros like Puiu and Montana. I estimate that I am playing with a consistent 0.004 edge over the casino now, instead of the .5 disadvantage I once had as a BS student. I attribute this entirely to Green Chip advice and an exceptionally thick skull.
We have fun on the free page....but don't believe everything you read. Unless of course it is from Bootlegger, El Lobo, bond trader, Maverick, Sotsog, Wildcard, Fine Tuner, bigplayer, Curious Amateur, Fezzik, Jimbo, LVBear584, Radar O'Reilly, Zenfighter, Titaniumman, and numerous others I have failed to mention. The posts by giants like DD', Arnold Snyder, ET Fan, MathProf, Cellini, and others always warrant a look.
I mean no slight to anyone not mentioned. These people have all posted on the free pages in the last few days, and should be listened to carefully for their good advice and timely information. An internet forum depends on it's contributors to maintain a high level of excellence, and this site has the best in the game. A pretty patient and tolerant lot they are, too, considering my irreverance for most things besides security, identity, and protecting the games we play from degradation.
adhoc will always steer you wrong... (just kidding) He also is a valued voice of reason among the many.
I am proud to be keeping company with these outstanding teachers, but am still learning at their feet. I hope to entertain and amuse while having fun with the 'netizens here. There are many respected authors and software developers who also track this page, and often you will find answers directly from the source. The people who play often and rate the casinos for CBJN, Blackjack Forum, and Trackjack are also around. You will be sure to get the most current news and best advice available right here on BJ21.
Be careful who you listen to, but don't forget to write.

to have a sort of 'little Hemingway' here online.
For foreigners, the benefits are even greater.
While reading you, I know, my English is getting
a little better.
Keep your polished style!

of getting your post busted by calling me these defamatory, slanderous names..... :-)
Thanks so much for the encouragement... if you are entertained I will continue to stick my neck out knowing that at least one veteran is listening. I aspire to be a bit more readable than the average dictionary, it is true.
You realize of course, that all this 'style' is mere camouflage for the defiency of solid mathematical underpinning in my understanding of this fascinating game. What I really would like to develop is a hybrid style combining DD' and Jimbo. Of course, that is unattainable since the originals you see on these pages are in a class by themselves.
Wait till I tell my brother someone called me a 'little Hemingway.' He is sure to have a good laugh with that.
