free tourney offers after being backed off

Is it safe to assume a free tourney offer is going to be honored even if I was backed off from casino or given a "no more Bj"? I used to bet these offers and use them from Harrahs in LV w/out problem.

My second biggest worry- I show up they say management decided to revoke the offer.

Biggest worry- I start playing in tourney, spend hours playing, get to the final table, casino pit looks up my info., makes some calls, and someone tells I am not allowed to win anything at tourney.

If I should take offer, I would not any bj at this place during this trip.

but I never won a big prize. I took Harrahs in Las Vegas up on a bunch of offers years ago. My back-offs were not in Las Vegas so one at harrahs LV recognized me. Same story with Station.

This is a smaller, one property casino in LV w/ my current offer so you are probably right. My back-off was so quick I doubt if I would be reconginzed but obviously if they look up my name it would not be good.

Playing in a tourney REQUIRES a players card -
and if you win a big enough prize (e.g. $5,000)

and win it they have to pay you and gaming will make them pay you. In Mississippi, if they let you start the tournament they have to let you finish it.

I think it's a safe bet that any LV casino might check the names of the people who make the final table and decide whether they should be 86'd from the casino. The Golden Nugget during the Mirage ownership days used to aggressively 86 tournament players who got caught counting cards while playing regular games.

If you give real SSN with Alias name the W2-G or 1099-Misc will get kicked back. If the tournament is paid in funny chips or freeplay then tax forms aren't an issue. If you hit a jackpot under an alias be sure to give real SSN or alternatively you could setup a taxpayer ID number for your alias and give that and the casino might not notice until after they pay you.

Seriously, many of us have received mail offers from a place AFTER we have been barred. We know for a fact that there is often a huge disconnect between security/surveillance and the marketing departments. Now I don't want to speak for anyone, but (I will) lol. I have heard fine attorney Bob N say on a number of occasions that a mail offer from a casino AFTER a barring negates the previous action (barring). It is an invitation to return to the property and play. Now I would think the same principal holds here. Problem is if they try to disallow you, you would have to hire Mr N or another qualified attorney to 'force' them to abide by their invite. I suspect it would not take going to court, just a communication from a reputable attorney, as the legal dept of the property in question would probably quickly realize they were on the wrong legal end of the situation. But the prospect of incurring any expense like this, would surely de-value the opportunity to the point that it was not worth the effort.

you cannot "force" anyone to abide by an invite. The invite does rescind a previous 86ing but the casino can rescind the invite and re-trespass you. Getting an invite and using it to stay in a hotel or pick up a gift or offer is one thing, but I don't recommend taking that as a green light to try to play a game for which you are already barred...you'll just get kicked out again and expose yourself to more opportunites to get flyerd, OSN'd or whatever'd.
