trackjack vs. CBJN (I say use both)
unfortunately, IMO trackjack doesn't update it's data as diligently as CBJN. part of this may be because there is no urgency to publish a new issue every month, so none of the TJ reporters are under pressure to constantly be on the case when changes occur. however, TJ's data is laid out in a far superior fashion, and the search engine and user comment sections are quite valuable. I don't have year long subscriptions to either service, but I will purchase a "one-off" update every 3-6 months or so which is sufficient for my recreational play.
now in the case of bellagio, trackjack's data is definitely outdated in the sense that there are significantly more H17 tables now than before. in terms of that issue as well as CSM's (all of which appear to be H17 as well), it seems that MGM/Mirage-owned properties in particular are constantly tinkering with how many tables have one thing, the other or both. according to the october CBJN, after not having them at all for a while, MGM Grand put 5 CSM's back in action, while what used to be 41 CSM's at bellagio now appears to be about 38, while at the same time, 7-8 shoe games which were S17 are now H17, leaving about ten S17 shoes left overall. looking at trackjack's current data which claims to be last confirmed on 10/15/04, they are not wrong in terms of what four kinds of games are available at bellagio (2D, CSM, 6D S17 & H17), just the number of tables for each.
so if you like staying at bellagio, by all means continue to seek out the good tables that are still there. however, with the information I provided in the previous posting, perhaps you would consider another property that will give you more bang for your buck.
