Four level count

Hi,
I'm studying books on beating casinos at bj, (i come from magic and i find out this beatable game in Ortiz's books Gambling Scam and Ortiz in Casinos Gambling), having very good aptitude at counting cards (i have learnt the hi lo basic count in 5 minutes, counting one entire deck in less than 30 s). So I am researching the most effective count, whatsoever intricate it is, a multi level (four or more) one (where can i find it, or in which book it is explained : the books I have explain only one or two level count like zen count).
I'm also (i'm a teacher and have lot of free time) researching a team to join professionnally in europe.

Take your five minutes of learning the HiLo count, and go to a real casino and bet some real money using your 'knowledge'. When the sun rises the next morning, see if you still think you know HiLo.

The zen count (or Halves as explained in Wong's "Professional Blackjack") are perfectly able to get the money. A 4 level count is only going to improve PE (playing efficiency) a gnat's ass (a really small amount) and one mistake with the much more complicated system will wipe that gain out.

Better to learn more indexes to use with your simple count. Incorporate other advantage techniques to your play such as shuffle tracking.
Use side counts of various cards to enforce your simple count for insurance and certain key plays.

Someone using level-1 HiLo and shuffle tracking will probably win 10x what someone using the ultimate computer-based 'perfect' composition based strategy can achive.

Of course before it comes to that, you are going to have to learn things like having an 'act' and cover plays, etc., so you will have a place that will allow you to play and use your skills.

Here is a nice multi-level system that should be a piece of cake for you if you've mastered Hi-Lo in only 5 minutes. Of course the "most frequent and important decision" is whether to bet more money on a given hand. This nifty little system has a 1.00 Betting Correlation and is set forth in Peter A. Griffin's The Theory of Blackjack (6th Ed. at p. 45):

mathieu, Considering your abilities you may be better served by learning a system such as HiOpt with two or more side counts for cards which are not included in the basic count. Tracking the cards individually will result in more accurate decisions than a basic count of whatever level. Just a thought. Hit 'em hard, The Side

Did you put the link under the text, leading to ToB or was it put by the webmaster?

Counting down a deck hi low in 30 secs does not mean much. Try using the count with hand summation and playing decisions. Can you keep conversation and not get distracted? How about aiming for 100 or so playing deviations? Easy to learn but recalling them is harder. Aim to backcount two tables at once?

To get the money you need to:

1. Put the big money out there when the good cards are coming.

2. Learn how to get away with doing #1.

3. Learn more about how to get away with doing #1.

Any of the popular counts will let you do #1. The extra "edge" that you seek with the more complicated counts will not return the money in proportion to the effort required. Simply put, they are a waste of time and effort. If you stay with this game, you will learn that longevity is the biggest problem you will have.

Best case scenario: You are playing a 100% trackable 2D game with 50% pen. Very weak for the nontracker; better than 1D with 100% pen for the tracker.

10x? Mmmmmmmmmmmaybe! But those games are weally, weally hard to find! ;-)

O.K, thanks to all of you who have taken the time to answer me. According to most of you, a multi level count don't reward the exertions it requires and the additionnal edge is very small and the possible errors nullify the small advantage. I've read in books that many professionnal bj gamblers use the Hi-Lo count with tracking special cards and shuffles. Is it true?
And yes, i need to learn acting and disguise the strategy.

Yes.

... I'd expect to concentrate on pure counting for at least a year before delving into tracking (maybe six months, if you play BJ full time, and you're a prodigy).
