for the newbies who may be interested in the K-O site

Just thought I'd toss this out to the K-O users in case they didn't have it...

The layout of koblackjack.com is horrible. I guess a site doesn't have to be pretty to be functional but it couldn't hurt. The yellow/red/green text on black background makes me cringe and I really don't like the frames.

Very poorly done, imo.

But my new visit to the site reminded me about something I read a while back. It was a post (not here) that Ken Fuchs wrote, something about making another site (or perhaps a supplement to that one) where he would be offering additional information and tweaks for KO not found in the book, presumably discovered after publication. And it was supposed to be free - I wonder what ever happened to that idea?

I also noticed something I must have overlooked before:

"K-O, KO, TKO, and Knock-Out are all trademarks of Isochoric Publishing."

I didn't know there was a trademark on "TKO" too as I've never seen either author officially write about it...maybe this stems from when there was a squabble over T-H's system and his use of the same tags?

Anyway, you had a ballpoint pen in your pocket and I wore a blue shirt. And after we ate you helped me find that shop to fix my watch. I seriously owe you for that one - what good is a counter in Vegas if he doesn't even know the time? Pretty embarassing for me anyway. ;-) Next meal is on me, and I'll even supersize the fries.

Dunno if I mentioned it but you were the first other counter I met and that was very cool of you. I still remember walking around and squinting for anybody with a pen in his pocket. I could have sworn I saw three T's before I saw you. Each time I kind of paused in front of the person and each time I was shoved aside. I'm glad we worked out some kind of signal ahead of time or the meeting would have gone like this...

J: So...you the guy?

T: The guy?

J: You know, the guy.

T: About the thing?

J: Yeah, the thing.

T: With the guy and the other guy?

Etc, etc, etc.
