I thought I had seen some pretty fast dealers in the last couple of years. Today topped them all. I lost count a couple of times but was lucky it was near the end of the shoe. I was playing a six-deck shoe heads up. It was 1 1/2 cut with a ASM. In one hour we went through 8 complete shoes. She so fast I could hardly compute the cards. I actually made money but do I have a headache from watching her. Have anyone of you had some this fast or faster ?
I am at the point in my career, where the faster...the better, but always remember that YOU can slow them down if you want. The game can only go as fast as the player or the slowest player if not playing heads up. Occasionally I like to slow down a dealer just for the fun of it. It can frustrate them and actually throw them off their game. :)
I have run into some dealers that seem to be consumed with speed. Almost seems like it is some kind of competition or something. And I have seen some that deal faster than they should. They are sloppy and make mistakes. They really should tone it down a bit. Of course, I am not going to suggest that. lol
I really don't like to play that fast. When I came in I had mention that I had play against the dealer at the other table and said she was fast. They told me you have not seen anything yet. I said let's see what you get plus me going along with her helped her a lot. I know you can control the dealer's speed. I figure if I can get 5 shoes per hour heads up I am on cruise control. No mind games or racing going on. That's just me.
If they want to play "I'm the fastest dealer in the world" get up and leave!
