Head Across the Street
You are at the Venetian? And you are a BS player, not a card-counter?
The best games for BS players are the S17-DAS double deck games.
Another good game is the S17,DAS,LS shoe game. The DD game should be marginally better; however, some of the store use a cut card. I havent analyzed the cut card effect, but it is worse for DD.
Mirage and TI across the street both offer that sort of game.
However, the table minimums may be high for you. I do not what they are now, or what your minimum is.
Be sure that it indicates S17 on the felt. Also, we would prefer if you did not any of the CSM games.
Comps are something a BS player should consider. MGM-Mirage stores do not bank comps. This may be a drawback, but if you are an infrequent visitor, it might not be so bad. It may even be better. Imperial Palace has had reasonable comps for lower steaks players, but avoid the low-bevel buffet there. It does not enjoy a good reputation.
I usually dont talk about specific casinos in my posts here, especially on the Free Pages. But so many stores are offering poor rules these days, I would like the ones that offer good rules a little good publicity. By directing BS players there.
None of my comments should be interpreted as a comment on the game quality for counters. Let me just say that there are a variety of plusses and minuses to all the stores in your area.
I agree with BP's comments that you shouyld get CBJN. If you are unfmiliar with teh geography, I would get a map of LV. I think you can get an apporximate one online.
If table minimums are an issue, you may ahve to travel aways from mid-strip to get better games.
