Experience with Hi-Opt II system

I was plugging the various level 2 systems into a SD game on BJRM and none of them showed a very impressive improvement over Hi-Lo except for the Hi-Opt II system. The improvement was impressive. So how come I hardly ever hear of people using this system? I would like to know what people think of this system, and how its difficulty compares with other level 2 systems. And it seems to only be available by ordering it from the author. Is it available in a book like all the other good systems?

Using a multi-level count with a side count of aces (absolutely necessary in Hi Opt II for SD and DD games) is very difficult. Many other systems give nearly the same performance, like AO or UBZ or Halves, at much less brain expense.

Certainly the pure professional who wants every extra penny, is out there every day, and is willing to do the work, is more likely to use Hi-Opt than the hobbiest.

Been using ho2 with all side counts for aprox 4yrs, no other counts will compare.

The SCORE chapter in BJA ranked Hi-Opt II as the best of all BJ count systems.

Who in his right mind is out there every day playing BJ?

Another not proven theory: Fatigue increases logarithmically.

I use a 2 - level count and would not consider a one - level count.

Do a simple experiment. Figure the total amount of money paid on a 30 yr. mortgage of $100,000 at 7.00%; then compare that figure to the total amount paid with the interest set at 7.25%

Get the picture now? This is similar to what happens when you earn a few "extra pennies" per hour playing BJ for 30 yrs.

I have often wondered the same thing...why don't more people use Hi-Opt II? I have been using it, with ace side count, for six years. I never paid any money for it either. Once I found out the card values, I used S.B.A. to generate the index numbers.

I guess you are one of those guys who just don't tip either.

Vic, you said that you used S.B.A. to generate the index numbers. What is S.B.A. and where can I find it.
