Eliot in the newspaper

I don't know if this is old news or not but found it interesting to find a 3 paragraph newspaper article in the Orange County Register titled 'Card counter' booted by casino..Santa Ynez.. Eliot J. has been permanently booted out of Chumash Casino Resort. Eliot said it's not cheating but also said "They are right to keep me out of there. I am a danger to them every time I walk through the door."

Haven't read or posted in a long while. Is it getting nastier out there or about the same? Last time to Vegas, still enjoyed the available single deck games with quick hits except for LVC where I let it fly.

Article spreads myth

Counters keep track of what cards have been played from a deck, which determines which cards are likely to come up next.

This gives the impression 1) we memorize the deck and 2) we know what the next card is.

in his own mind! ;> Anyone can go around trying to get famous by getting some newspaper writer to do an article on you. Dave Morris did the same thing in AC. By trying to get his name at the level of SW and AS etc he knows that he is more likely to make money from the spin offs than he is playing nickel / quarter BJ. From the trenches to general all in one day.

...which prompts the lesson : don't bring your girlfriend or crew at the tables to witness.
