SD and 4D indexes are almost equally inaccurate for DD play. Before I used CVData to generate my own DD indexes, I used the average of the SD and 4D indexes in the appendix of the 1980 edition of Professional Blackjack for DD play. This isn't ideal, of course, but it's better than using either SD or 4D indexes.
If you happen to be playing 2D, H17, DAS, I uploaded the precise indexes at Gorilla Blackjack.
You give up a miniscule amount between 4 deck generic and specific double deck indices when you play double deck. Not remotely worth the trouble knowing 2 sets of indices. Just need to learn the 7 plays that give you the biggest gain between H17 and S17 if it applies.
Just use the values for double deck. It's only 18 indices if you use the I18, or 22 if you use the "catch 22". I say use the "catch 22". 22 indices are relatively easy to learn.
I cant find them in the Professional Blackjack book!
