Who said anything about pen not being important or should not be talked about? Besides,the issue is about 4/6 being a BAD game, which it truly is. Maybe next time SOTSOG will reconsider his thoughts when telling a newbie that 4/6 is a good game,you think?
It sounds like it might even up in the wash. And I think the DD is still better than the 4/6 shoe as well.

As I mentioned in my original post, I sat through two 6-deck shoes that never even got to the K-O key count, let alone the pivot point. Wonging would be the only way to play that game, and I'm glad you gave me a mathematical basis to back up my opinion.
The casino in question isn't my only place to play, but I can get free transport via bus three times a week if I want to play there. I was looking for info that might justify the trips. Thanks again.

Keno is a game that is also offered by hundreds of casinos also. Do you think you should play that game too? I think it is better to NOT play a bad game, encourage others to NOT play also, and save your money for a good game.
If you really feel you have to play a BAD game as opposed to not playing, just send me all your money. Then you won't be faced with the play or don't play decision.
Every dollar wagered at a bad game gives the casino that much less reason to not offer a good game.

Also when the RC is +12 after 3 decks. So this gives the the possibility of making money. When there is no six deck game in my area, I have to make any stupid job, like working for McD. or something. :-)(

you can get decent spreads. 90% of the U.S. simply does not HAVE DD with better than .8 pen. One can get a decent EV on DD with 1.0 pen and good rules spreading 8x1 and one can get a decent EV on DD with 1.0 pen and so-so rules spreading 15x1 or better because I do it all the time.
Sure, we all put our time into getting to the .7 pen DD with good rules that you speak of but you otherwise make the best of what's available as long as you can get the spreads necessary for a decent win-rate.
