Discount airfare through American

Hello All,

Although we had our Texas Tournaments canceled last January, I am still working on trying to host some major tournaments in Texas. I have just sign-up American Airlines as our official carrier.

Until we are able to host the tournaments I would like to offer the member discounts to all the players who fly American Airlines to Las Vegas. Below is the e-mail I just received from AA along with the rules and discount codes.

the TEXAS TOURNAMENTS. They have arranged for the attendees to the tournaments the following discount:

a) 5% discount for the Coach Class and 10% discount for the First Class
for tickets purchased 29 days or less prior to travel date.

b) 10% discount for Coach Class and 15% discount for First Class for
tickets purchased 30 days or more prior to travel date.

c) After the ticket is purchased, but prior to outbound flight
departure date, the name may be changed for a service fee.

The Coach Class discount applies to the lowest applicable fare that is
available for your date and time of travel. For fare and schedule information and to make your reservations, please call the American Airlines Meeting Services at 1-800-433-1790 and provide the discount code 2644BK for April travel and 8654AZ for MAY travel to LAS. Their hours of operation are 5am to 12 midnight Central Time every day of the year.

To the uninitiated with Rick's devices, he promotes a tournament in Texas with membership fees and tournament fees that make the "game" a non-winning proposition.

He constantly harks this deceptive enterprise on this page trying to get advertising for free.

His bait and switch tactic of entitling his post about discount flights is typical to his character.

Do a search on his posts from way back and you will see how ridiculous he is.

Tit, am I promoting a tournament NO! What am I doing, offering ALL PLAYERS a chance for discounted airfare. No cost to them, even you are included should you want to go on the dates listed.

So far only you have a problem with me offering players a chance at a discounted airfare. I don't understand why this bothers you, I thought this site was to help and inform other players.

For your information I called up and asked before listing the discounted airfare, they though it was great deal for the readers of this site.

This person has a jaded history of posts on bj21, and while I haven't ever participated in his tournaments, I can say that his dealings on the page are questionable, to say the least.

I've included a link below to a previous thread, in which he is taken to task by some of our more prolific and knowlegeable posters. I checked out his profile in the thread, and it matches the profile that he is posting in this thread. To me, it's the same person.

For those interested, it would be a good thing to read all the posts in the thread, in order to get a good perspective.

Remember the old saying: "Look before you leap". My opinion only here, folks - I might have been born in the dark, but it sure wasn't last night.
