I need help on understanding some deviations but everywhere I look there are always a few deviations that are not the same even though they are for the same game. I use Standford Wongs deviations from Professional Blackjack for reference. Maybe you could explain why some people have different deviations? Deviations depend on whether true count is floored or truncated. Wong changed to truncated and messed up all his negative indices. I tried to stop him, but he was a bit stubborn.
Deviations also depend on the accuracy of the person creating them. If you use Norm's CVData, you will get perfect indices. Likewise, if you use those in my new book: The Hi-Lo Counting System: A Complete Guide to Index Play. Of course, the latter assumes you use Hi-Lo. You can also find a shorter list on page 213 of BJA3.
