Bullshit
"[Norm Wattenberger] has a dispute with anyone or anything he disagrees with."
That's bullshit. I have argued with Wattenberger many times and he's always been courteous. He'd had numerous disputes with many people, on blackjack strategy, and they can tell you the same thing. But you're probably thinking of his angry reactions to online flaming and abuse.
Wattenberger has probably taken more abuse on the internet than any other blackjack expert. Contrast this with the solid contributions he's made to the blackjack community (brilliant software, free tables, online advice, etc) and you will probably figure out why he often gets testy and cautious.
The reason he won't post here any longer and won't allow his software to be sold through bj21.com is, as he has stated, that he disagrees with Stanford wong's policy of almost total freedom of expression, i.e. freedom to post disparaging or downright insulting posts about other people. Wattenberger feels, not without justification, that prominent contributors should get a certain protection from the webmaster against flamers and other miscreants. He believss that, on the contrary, the victims of flaming are denied by bj21.com management of the oportunity to defend themselves and retort.
I disagree with Wattenberger's take on things but I cannot overlook the legitimate grievance behind it.
