CSM barrings?

It's undeniable that CSM's have been invented in order to render card counting and other techniques for advantage play ineffective.
Now I know that some of the best players present on this forum have been very successful against these machines and still are.
My question is this: Has anyone ever been barred from play on a CSM or is the faith of the casino bosses regarding these machines so big that they would attribute all winnings to sheer luck?

As it is impossible to have an advatage playing against actual CSM's it is attributable to luck. No skill is involved. I will ignore divine intervention and good karma for the moment.

Of coirse luck is mearly a short-ter, phenomena. Simply put it is variance. The mnotion of someone playing 20+ hrs. per week for a year and coming out even or ahead is laughably unlikely.

There are obviously ways that a player could get an advantage against a CSM game. Some are obvious; some are not.

No, I am not one has gotten any significant advantage from A CSM game.

I am not endorsing any specific strategy.

PS: There are some obvious ways of getting an advantage in 6:5 games.

I've been barred from playing the Casinos Austria Shufflestar brand. So have others. This is a positively neolithic device relatively easily beaten, and most of the casinos which use it are aware of the vulnerability.
The King and its antecedents used in the States are harder to beat, consequently if you do find a way you will probably last as long as it takes for the casino to figure out they are losing too much money.
(Disclaimer: There is a very simple method used to beat the King which I wouldn't even class as a a CSM-specific play, not available under normal conditions, which the casinos do know about and bar people for using)

It's funny: I was barred from play in all Austrian casinos at a time when they still had handshuffled games.The barring was lifted after they introduced the shuffle machines in 1997.At the time,they obviously thought that these machines were unbeatable and so did I moving westwards for greener pastures.Unfortunately the machines moved westwards too and the region where I'm living now is infested with the model one2six. I saw them also in Belgium. I think this machine is quite efficient but not necessarily unbeatable.What do you think? Up to now I didn't encounter any heat, even with an exceptional rule set but I'm not sure whether this will last.

I agree with you that the latest generation of CSM's with a standard rule set (about 0.5% house edge) is basically unbeatable.But the spread of casinos all over the world has led to a healthy competition about who is offering the best rule set in order to attract customers.Some places even offer a slight advantage for the player and they still feel safe because they have the CSM's.
But you wouldn't say that one cannot come out ahead in such a game after a 1000 hours of play,would you?

Is there a standard number of decks used in these one2six CSMs, or the casino can decide how many to use (eg 1 to 6?)? Thanks.

The trouble is, you don't state your e-mail-address neither. So I don't know how we are gonna solve that problem.

I've just read almost all of your posts on Green Chip board, dated more than 2 years ago, and am happy to find you have posted again - welcome back. I started counting six months ago and, until recently, wasn't paying too much attention on tracking and sequencing. The impression of what I had read about the subject was that it doesn't work with today�s shuffles. After Snyder's "Black Belt In Blackjack" and Rick Blaine�s "Blackjack Blueprint" I started searching more information and found your posts. I enjoyed also Cyclops's posts, especially, one describing his experiences with regular wonging counters at the tables. Probably not too many counters could become successful trackers or ace predictors but I have decided to, at least,give it a try. It would be much more fun than just aggressively wong in and out - what I am doing now. I wish I knew your email and, of course, good luck.

Visiting my local casino last week, I noticed for the first time the way they were shuffling the shoes. I even tried to back-track and back-locate some cards. It was like I were in a new dimension.The game looked differently, more colorful and richer from this new prospective of view. I don't have the skills to achieve this prospective yet, just had the feeling of what could it be - and I liked it.
Starting at the very beginning, I don't have too many questions yet. They will be arising in the process of learning, and I'll do my best to find the answers by myself. Anyway, it is good to know there are some more experienced players around.
