i have been reading bj21 for a while and for new players seeking advice on learning how to count software has often been reccomended.i have always practised using charts and it has worked well for me. if you want to make charts like the one below,7 rows wide 13 lines high put in 14 of every card except x=56. put in 14 2's then 14 3's etc scatter them around lastly fill in gaps with x's should=56 if not you have made a mistake.the chart being exactly = to 3.5 decks is balanced. practise counting in all different ways, vertically, horizontally, right to left, left to right.also sometimes start at +10,-10 to get experience in heavy +- situations. when your counting improves make bigger charts 26 lines high (7 decks) easiest to make charts with pen and paper not computer ,hope this helps.
