Correct Playing Decision's

The dealer has just paid bets and collected cards. The TC is +5, the bet's go out. You recieve your first two cards ( A,3 ) Dealer has a ( 9 ) showing, you take a hit and recieve a ( 2 ), now you take another hit ( 10 ), at this point is it correct to Hit, or Stand ? Basic Strategy says you should Hit. What is the correct play after the first two cards ? I know you should Stand more on ( + ) counts and Hit more on ( - ) counts, does this rule apply in my example?

When counting, the index for 16 v T is zero. IOW, you don't ever hit a 16 v T if even the RUNNING count is positive.

If you're going to do all the work of counting, you might as well learn the I18 & F4.

The makeup of the cards for the 16 is irrelevant. In fact just from an odds perspective a large bust card is almost sure to come next so why should you be the one to take it. Chances of the dealer having a ten in the hole is pretty big but you need to give yourself a shot at winning that bet.

the exact composition of your hand becomes irrelevant for most decisions. The composition is figured into the count.

You never said which syst this is. I use Advanced Omega II, so the +5 is actually decreased a little, and I would hit, since my index is +7 to stand. The composition of the 16 doesn't matter, as others have stated.
