I was playing last weekend in Grand Coushata casino in Luisiana. They had new chips that have sensors inside. They aslo had a computer terminal connected to each table. The pit poss will enter the position of each player onto the computer terminal. The dealer will press a button after players put their bets. All the bets will be then transmitted by these sensors to the computer. This way the casino can keep track of every single bet put by the players. They said it was for comp purposes but it is clear that this system could generate a large database to study each player strategey. I am not sure if they record win or loss but its seems possible since all chips have sensors. So, paying the player will double the amount of signal in the box and vice versa. Any experience with this technology elsewhere?. I was surprised with this technology being implemented in a remote place away from Vegas.
