The casino situation in reno is bleak. Except for a couple of properties south of town, Atlantis, Peppermill, and a few others, the rest are not doing well. The Sundowner will close Dec 1st, rumors are the Siena will close for the winter, the Golden Phoenix is usually empty, even the Cal Neva, which caters to the low rent crowd, is not very busy.
Are most casinos in the downtown area?
Casinos are scattered throughout Reno and Sparks. There is a cluster of them downtown, most with playable games. To maximize the nunber of casinos you use, a rental car is the way to go.
