Just returned from a 4-day cruise on the brand-new Carnival Conquest.
Fabulous ship. 12 decks, over 200 feet high, 950 ft long, 22 bars, 17 restaurants, 10,000 sqft gym and a casino, holds 5,000 people, decent "Las Vegas Style" floor shows and entertainment.
The blackjack on board isn't worth the trouble, however.
8-deck shoes, poor pen (50-60%), DA2, RSA, S17. $5min/500max at most tables. There were $10, $25, and $100 tables, but there was no difference in rules or deck. You can enter midshoe, but because of the over-crowded conditions at all bj tables, it wasn't feasible.
There was also $1 roulette, "Fun 21", Carribean Stud, and Three Card Poker tables.
No Baccarat. Tons of slots/video poker. One Craps table.
The ship was worthwhile, the casino was a bust.
