Can I Get My Info Removed From Griffin/Bio?

If I write the Griffin Company and request they remove my info from their list, will they comply? If not, is there some other way to get my info removed?

I've never done anything illegal or even disruptive in a casino. Yet this Griffin company apparently faxes info about me to some of my favorite casinos, who then don't let me gamble anymore. That doesn't seem right and I would like Griffin Co. to stop doing this.

Has anyone ever had their info removed from Griffin? If so, how did they do it? I'm thinking maybe if you just ask them they will stop, but I don't know for sure.

You could probably sue them in court for something like that. You could also probably sue the casinos for barring you because they think that you're a card counter, but you'd have to fight it out of the state.

As far as suing the casinos you have no case since they have the right to ask anyone to leave and don't have to give a reason. The casinos are private property and gambling is a privlege not a right. As far as Griffin, good luck many have tried over the years and very few have succeeded in getting their names removed. I personally know of two that did get removed but took alot of time and money. You best bet is to try and get some of these pictures/flyers they have sent on you and take them to a lawyer. If you already don't have these flyers just post that you are interested in buying some on this site and you will get some replys.

Would it always require an expensive lawsuit? I am thinking because there is a precedent, if any counter has already had their info removed.

A letter saying "I understand so-and-so-counter had their info removed from your database via so-and-so court proceedings, so please remove mine too."

If some counter won a lawsuit against Griffin wouldn't the court in that case also say to Griffin "Stop doing this to other counters too?"

I don't know all the facts, I think Griffin might be a separate outfit, like a private detective agency, that keeps track of cheaters and counters and other undesirables and identifies them for casinos. In the old days a big book of pictures and info, thus known as the "Griffin Book." Also updates of recent activity sent by fax, a "griffin flyer."
