A locale casino is running a promotion where they pay 20 to 1 on your first ace-jack of spades and 10 to 1 the second time you get it every day of the week. How would you calculate the added edge this gives you?

How many decks?
In any event, it's worth abouit an extra 1.4%, which is considerable. But the problem is you have to play a long time to get the hand, even once. It occurs, on average, once every 1,326 hands, so at 100 hands per hour, you get it, on average, once every 13 hours or so. Of course, you might get it sooner and more than once or, unfortunately, not at all. The over/under is that you'd see it by the 915th hand. Still a long wait!!
