burn cards

I played today in casino for the very first time. But there was 7 players for one table and dealer was so fast ( i mean cards were flying all the time, he even dropped some) so it was very imposible for me to count properly, because i was practicing with only two hands. Dealer dealed 4 shoes in about 25-30 minutes. But my question is what should i do ,because on start of every shoe there is 6-7 burn cards without seeing them ? How this affect my advantage , should i start count at -6 or what ???

They are unseen cards. No different than any other cards that end up behind the cut-card. Start your count as you normally would at the begining of any pack. Start at zero unless your using KO. If your using a side count of aces, it can mess you up to only about a .5 of one ace. Not enough for you as a beginner to worry about. To many other areas that are much easier to perfect.

The dealer is too fast for you as a newbie to keep count. You need more "off table" practice or next choice would be find a slower dealer.

No, just pretend he took those 6 cards and moved them behind the cut card in the shoe. Unseen cards are unseen cards. All this does is slightly reduce your penetration.

As far as "practicing with only two hands," I have no idea what you mean by that. If you are having trouble keeping up with the dealer, don't play two hands. If it means you were counting on your fingers with both hands, don't do that either. lol

What if they are all 10's?

If 6-7 cards get burned off the top of the pack, they are unseen cards. For now, we have to only evaluate them as though they cancel each other in terms of their value. Therefore, they must be rated as a zero count except for ace side count values. To clarify the issue of ace side count being a possible factor, let's assume the following: We happen to be strolling by a 6D table already in progress of play and we notice a lot of small cards on the layout, so we count it all up and determine the TC to be 1.5. We sit, toss out some buy-in $ and get ready to play the next hand. We notice after the D clears the table we have about 65 cards sitting in the discard tray. Given that circumstance and a especially if we are using a side count for aces, we now have to assume that the average amount of aces went by through those 65 cards. Therefore, we should start our ace side count as if five aces have been played before we sat down.

What if the cards behind the cut card are all tens? Its all the same thing. They're unseen cards, thats all.

You're concerned about the value of the burn cards and you can't keep up the count with the dealer because he's too fast? The value of the burn cards are your least concern. Actually, this dealer would be FANTASTIC to play with head's up if it's a decent game.

Why are you playing at a full table? If you can't keep up with the dealer and lose the count why are you still playing? THIS should be your main concern. Losing the count. Practice, practice, practice. Remember, perfect practice makes perfect! The speed will come, but don't sacrifice accuracy in your quest for speed.

It sounds like you need more practice so that counting becomes automatic.

I mean practice with playing 2 players hands(like two player playing one) because in my casino if you play head on, you can do it only if you play 2 hands. But when i went in casino there was 4-5 players allready at the table so i played only one hand. I hope you understand now. By the way i am not 'she' i am 'he'.

forget about the burn cards consider them as card behind the cut card.
but more importantly, forget about playing for the time being.
go to the casino a bit more often, pretend to be curious about the game.
stand behind the table and start practicing counting in life casino situation.
once u find that u can back count without any problems (not losing counts or not having to guess counts), then get in on the action.
sit down and count and play at the same time, and still dont bet too big yet as ur still in the learning stage.
then after a few weeks of practice, which is when u should be proficient at counting and playing at the same time in a real casino situation then you can start playing for real..
