CCR & Fogerty's later albums are some of my favorite music.

As a matter of fact, the first seven slots in the disc changer in the Titaniummobile are devoted to his music. If you ever hear Cottonfields blaring from a Z-28 cruising through Tunica, you will know who just went by.

When CCR broke up, John gave up his rights to CCR even though 99% of the work was his. He even refused to publicly play any Creedence songs for well over a decade.

The Atlanta Braves were in post season play a few years ago (as usual) when I was taking a date to the Fox Theater in Atlanta to hear John play from tenth row. (I once heard him from first row at the Fox.) We stopped to get gas at a Quick-Trip. As I spied Braves caps for sale in the station, and knowing Fogerty is a big baseball fan, I got an idea.

Later, when John started to play Centerfield, I handed the cap to my date, and told her to go give it to John. She had a bit of trouble getting past security to the edge of the stage, but when Fogerty saw the cap, he motioned her to the stage, gave her a hug, and wore the cap through three songs.

He then carefully placed the cap under the drums so he wouldn't lose it.

Get this, John Fohgerty got suede by a record company for plagerizing one of his own songs. Whatever record company has the rights to all the songs thought his song "Old man down the Road" sounded to much like one of the old CCR songs(can't remember which on). Whatever song it was, it was written by John Fohgerty. Now that's getting screwed.

The split between CCR and John is deep.

I am a big CCR fan (and Fogerty)...see we have something in common...

"Born on the Bayou" and "Run Through the Jungle" has to have about the best beginnings of any rock songs ever!
