KISS Count / Mentor Count
Terrellj and Misfit. Actually, the unbalanced KISS Count is less in need of "true fudging" than the KO. That's because counts which are unbalanced by a half rank rather than a whole rank have a smaller error range between the running count and the true count.
Example: With KO, six decks and a -20 IRC, the Key count of -4 equals +2.4 true with 5 decks left, +2.0 true with 4 decks left, +1.3 true with 3 decks left and 0 true with 2 decks left. Using KISS and a +9 IRC, the Key count of 20 equals +1.8 true with 5 decks left, +1.75 true with 4 decks left, +1.66 true with 3 decks left and +1.5 true with 2 decks left. At a +3 true count, both systems are about as accurate as each other, but you spend more of your time between true counts of 0 and +3.
As for the balanced level 2 Mentor Count, truing up to two decks rather than one is actually more accurate. Since you've doubled all the index numbers you'll often arrive at true counts that would've been halfway between two integers, but are now on whole numbers, such as with +3.5 vs. +7 (which both have identical values). It's the same methodology by which level 2 counts are more accurate than level one counts.
