I've been using Beat The House by Interplay for a few years now for practice, and have seen some really lousy streaks for the player being dealt. Whether I play my little "system", or follow the count, which is kept track of by the program, I end up losing everything. I had better luck than this in Vegas!

Several times it went through the whole 6 decks several times without the true count ever being good enough to bet more than one unit! Is this normal? Has anybody else ever had any experience with this software or any other software? I know about CV, but can't afford it.

Any help will be appreciated.

If you can't afford an inexpensive but valuable tool, you can't afford to even be thinking about beating casinos of any type.

...if you wanted to get a good shot at beating a casino, even on the $5 1-8 spread level, you are going to need at least $5K. Taking a few hundred here and a few hundred there just isnt going to cut it in the long run (unless it is enough to count as a "trip" bankroll with a consistent RoR that you would obtain with an overall bankroll of 5K). You are much better off taking your next "trip bankroll" and purchasing some verite software with it. Get better, save up the dough (or borrow it at a very cheap rate, but I dont need to go there again) and go get em with full ammo.

for the advice. I think I'll just stick to the nickel VP machines. I'm going to keep reading this board, though. There's some fascinating reading here!
