Best open source Blackjack simulator?

I saw a single deck 6:5 game dealing to the last 10 cards on a cruise ship, but that was 5 years ago and the table was almost always full.

A couple of days ago I played 6:5 single deck for about an hour and didn’t get a blackjack. So I guess I got 3:2 odds 😂

I’m planning to play a double-deck H17 3:2 blackjack soon. I played this game using the HiLo running count a long time ago but lately forgot these deviation indices. Can somebody help post these numbers here? 

If you are using the running count you can use 0 for 16 v T. You can use 6 for insurance since with 2 decks the true count has to be more than 3 if the running count is 6 or more. If you know there is only one deck left you can use 3. You can use 4 to stand on 12 v 3, the true count index for 12 v. 3 is 2.

It is a play-all situation for double-deck games, so negative indices become important, especially these 10 vs. 9, 11 vs. 10, 11 vs. 9, 9,9 vs. 2, 6,6 vs. 2, and 3,3 vs. 2. I would like to see a running count representation of the above in the format like this: buy insurance at RC=+5, +4, +3, +2 when 1.75, 1.5, 1.25, and 1 deck remaining.

You're going to memorize four (or more!) indices for every play instead of simply learning one and dividing by decks remaining to get TC? What's wrong with you?

It’s simpler just to remember these. As an example for the hand of 11 vs. 10, hit at RC=-7, -6, -5, -4 when 1.75, 1.5, 1.25, and 1 deck remaining, respectively. 

Your mind works in strange ways! That's easier than double at TC>=-5?? To each his own.

And BTW, all your numbers are off by 1. The index is -5, not -4.

Good catch! Let me fix it. For the hand of 11 vs. 10, double at RC= -7, -6, -5, -4 when 1.75, 1.5, 1.25, and 1 deck remaining, respectively. Actullay I am confused here. Are you saying double at TC>=-5?  I guess you probably floored your negative indices, but I truncated them. 

Everyone floors indices. Truncating is the least accurate of the three methods.

What is the difference between flooring and truncating?

You can use 0 for 9 v 2, 13 v 2, A8 v 6, A7 v 2 , 12 v 4 if you do any of these. I am not sure that doubling A7 v 2 and A8 v 6 adds much, even 9 v 2. Increases risk though, but these are basic strategy doubles in 2 deck h17. I usually don't do them. Any indexes that can be used at 0 are really nice, since no tc conversion required.

Floor is round to the next lower integer. Truncate is round to the integer toward 0. So floor and truncate are the same for positive numbers, different for negative numbers (-1.6 would be -1 truncated but would be -2 floored).

That probably doesn’t matter very much. For double-decks, Hi Opt 2 needs to be used in the first place. 

If you don't do any index variations for the first 1/2 deck with 2 decks h17, 4:1, 70% dealt, it seems to make very little difference, less by about .01% of total amount bet.

I think you are right. However, it's always easy to keep the count at the beginning part of a shoe, so players should confidently vary their bets accordingly.

Was still changing bets, doing insurance, but without playing variations for first 1/2 deck so could be fewer of your running count indexes to remember.
