I'm heading to Vegas - haven't been there in 10 years. Will be playing mostly Hold 'em tournaments, but would like to play some BJ.
I can still count cards (although I'll be rusty). Last time in Vegas I played a $2 downtown double deck game with good rules/penetration.
Is there a good Downtown (or elsewhere in Vegas) low limit game left?

If I were serious about the time and making the rounds with a bankroll, I would.
If you can't give me one or two places to visit, I understand. It's not as though I need a bunch of places/various limits to spend my thousands ....

You'll want to spend most of your time playing places owned by Station Casinos, Boyd Casinos, and other places like Rampart, Cannery, Eastside Cannery, etc. I agree CBJN is an essential tool as there are bunches of low end Vegas places with double deck that will take a $5 to $60 type spread.
I'm spreading 20-1 in a D9 game with no heat.
Not surprising if top bet isn't too high and your off the top bet is sort of randomized. I have a friend who played a certain casino whose name rhymes with Siesta who intended to spread 1x$25 to 1x$150 on double deck and was backed off the first time he bet 1x$75. I think someone could get down a spread of 1x$5 to 2x$80 on double deck if they were willing to come off the top with 2x$20 or 2x$30 most of the time. It always depends, some places on some shifts are just sweatboxes, even for low stakes players. Look around and see who else is playing, if there are a few players betting chunky green at a normally low roller type place (say Palace Station) then a decent spread in red chips may well fly for a long time, especially if you keep your stack in front of you reasonable sized.
