I agree that conditions overall have sunk to an all-time low, but much better conditions than you describe can be found at the red chip level if you stay off strip and shop around. (including many, many stores with DAS.) Stores where I regularly find at least 70% (and often better) pen on DD:

THat said, what you mention about sweatiness issues is spot on. Sweat is DEFINITELY at an all time high.
