I haven't really played in a couple of years and was wondering which places you could recommend as to where I could find a good double deck game or two here in Vegas?

It depends on your bet size, skill level, tolerance for heat/harassment, etc. Las Vegas games have gone steadily downhill. Generally speaking, many of the best games left in Las Vegas are six-deck shoes with the dealer standing on soft 17 and late surrender. Current Blackjack News is your best source for general game conditions.
Don't even bother going downtown anymore. What used to be a good place to play is now mostly a wasteland.

If you are looking for (relatively) low stakes all you will find is 50% penetration with Hs17 and NDAS. The spread needed to profit from that game is 8 to 1 -- and that will get you a prompt "tap on the shoulder'

I agree that conditions overall have sunk to an all-time low, but much better conditions than you describe can be found at the red chip level if you stay off strip and shop around. (including many, many stores with DAS.) Stores where I regularly find at least 70% (and often better) pen on DD:

some Stations
Jokers Wild
El Cortez
Western
All of these stores offer DAS.
THat said, what you mention about sweatiness issues is spot on. Sweat is DEFINITELY at an all time high.
