Whats your guys' opinions on the best place to get comped while playing mostly BJ ($10 and $25 hands) and a little $25 craps.
Rio seems like a good place. I'm wondering why Wong ranks Bellagio as #2?
Where have you guys found the best comps as far as the main casinos on the strip?
At your level, places like Harrah's, Flamingo, Stardust, Horseshoe, Golden Nugget, Tropicana, Station properties are places you'll be able to get something for your action that actually have something to offer. Avoid the dives - IP, Casino Royale, anywhere else downtown, Riviera, Frontier, Circus Circus, Coast properties - you don't want to stay at or eat at these places, trust me. The nicer properties might not even rate you at those levels (they require a $25 average bet just to get rated) and if they do will give you very little.
1 hour minimum bet usually gets you buffet. Played for 2 hours recently got 4 for the buffet and 2 for another restaurant there. Caeasars is still the class of the strip and you do not have to be a whale to get comps there. Although there are lots of whales there anyway. They will send free room coupons and free meal coupons, hail Caesar!!!

Caesars will f*ck you fast. Since the PPE takeover early 2000, they are the biggest assholes on the strip, their surveillance guys are some of the best in town, and their goons are the dumbest in town. Not a good mix. Frequent this place at your own risk.
BTW, the real whales have moved on to MGM, Bellagio, Mandalay, Venetian. I agree Caesars was the class of the town form late 60's till late 90's. Things have changed drastically though. Take a look at PPE quarterly numbers and you'll see where they are going. Closing Palace Court was one of the dumbest moves I've ever seen.
But from a technical aspect their game is good and I personally have not encountered any problems. I have a trip to Bally's coming up and I wonder if the same surveillence and goon problems will exist. I really don't like conditions at Ballys or Paris but found Caesars to be ok.
I hope their dumb moves hurt them like closing Palace Court. I like to see vegas properties struggle in hopes of creating and diversifying the competition for strip dollars.

Strangely, they have given me the most and best in mail comps.
cuts have improved since PPE takeover. But also made 2 of the 3 pits 8-deck, added H17 to the outer pit, and reduced table max's. Have also turned into one of the sharper and more aggressive pits in town since PPE takeover.
By all means, play the place. Hopefully, you'll destroy the dump. Don't be surprised at nasty 86ing though. Sometimes they even 86 "innocents" / I doubt they even care there - real as*h*le mentality.
