The dealers that don't think even money is the same as insurance (without the motion of putting out the money) don't have a clue. The results are the same, just a straight wager payout.
This is on "Normal 3-2 payout of BJ" not variations of true Blackjack, (Spanish, Super-fun, Swith, Single 6-5, and any other take off of Blackjack)!
My thoughts on even money or Insurance are as follows. If I increase my bet from a base unit of $25 to lets say $150 and hit BJ vs. dealers Ace, I'll take even money or insurance.
I'm not telling you it is the highest percintage play, but I'll take a straight payout of six times my normal base play all day long and cry all the way to the bank if the dealer doesn't have it.
