Banned from green chip for posting non PC opinion.

I posted on many Green Chip pages, one being their opinion/politics page. Soon after my initial post my conservative, pro America opinion was insulted and far worse. I responded and the almost entirety of that page (mostly politically correct, Blame America First crowd), acted as a mob eventually demanding that my free speech should be banned. This is apparently acceptable, as Stanford allowed this to go on (I was regularly called A**H*** and worse) and did nothing. My responses to pages full of constant attacks apparently is not permitted.

Thou shalt only post pre approved PC speech otherwise the Michael Moore crowd will be upset.

Stanford has created a precedent, who is next?

How conveniently you left out how boorish and hate-filled your posts were. We tried to tell you you'd be gone, and now you are. :)

It wasn't a matter of free speech, it was a matter of everything you posted was acidic and designed to provoke, uninspire and create chaos.

My posts addressed the subject. The warning was that to violate their ultra politically correct thought code would result in the PC mob demanding that I be banned. I STILL live in America and my comments are in favor of it. Sorry if that upsets you!

Where were you when all the insults were directed at me constantly? Nowhere, that's where. The PC crowd is allowed to be "boorish". Who will be the next vicitm of the PC speech code?

Why is it that those who cry most often about "free speech" are the first ones to censor it?

Seems you forgot to mention to those who don't have the "good fortune" of experiencing your diatribes the following:

1. You refuse to enter into any discussion with anyone, liberal or conservative.

2. Instead of discussing, you constantly attack and insult everyone.

3. Every time ANYONE attempts to ask you a question, your pat response is: "I don't have time to educate you."

And, by the way, it seems that you have become what you so despise: a whiner. Your message sounds like a spoiled brat who has been told to leave the sandbox for not playing fair with the other kids.

I apologize to the regular forum members for using an incorrect handle. I used "BS Tester" quite a while ago for a specific purpose and simply forgot to change it back.

Tuna Dave is a real loser. TO PROVE IT Stanford should open up his last 50 posts on that page (just this past 2 weeks) you will be shocked to see what Stanford allows to go on. Don't take my word for it read it for yourselves.

I posted just like any other person on many other green chip pages. Unlike many of the complaing PC mob, I am a 21 player.

When called A**Hole and many other insults I responded directly to that person.

I predict a lull in their behavior until things cool down, then the next conservative who speaks will get the same treatment. No loss to me as wasting time with such little people isn't worth it anyway. Stanford's cowardice and unequal treatment sets this precedent.

I will keep you posted on my refund from Stanford.

I have had conversations with chappy here. Others have as well. I haven't seen this "whining" side of him at least out here in the free area...

No way to intelligently take sides here, but I will say that from the outside looking in, the BJ community has _serious_ problems, if the trend of the posts here, at AP, and at BJF are any indication...

Hard to tell who is doing what to whom, but it looks like everybody it doing it to everybody in some way...

If indeed Chappy was defenestrated from GC, the webmaster did the right thing. Here's a brief recap of the whole childish affair:

Chappy started posting on the Politics Page right away and his posts contained nothing but insults directed at anyone who dared disagree with him. Conservatives who disagreed with him were "comic strip characters" and "posting nonsense". Liberals who disagreed with him were called "traitors", "stupid" or "losers".

Chappy even carried onto the Politics Page his beef with MathProf about the game of Blackjack. (MathProf, by the way, happens to be a politically conservative citizen.) Started calling him Yukon Jack, "crazy, and other names.

Chappy's agenda has been from the start a troll's agenda.

The funny thing is that Chappy truly believes he was a threat to the "liberals in bj21" and that this was the reason he got canned. That's as far from the truth as can be. I can attest that Chappy was a heaven-sent bonus to the "liberals" of the Politics Page because his attitude embarassed the "conservative" cause no end! Some posters began wondering, only half in jest, if Chappy was not some "liberal" masquerading as a "conservative". (In fact, a number of conservative posters have asked, politely and giving full justification to their suggestion, that Chappy tones down the flame wars and stops trolling because he is doing more harm than good to what he is supporting. To no avail - they too were met with insults.)

Quite possibly, Chappy, who claims to be an active BJ player, has a lot to contribute to our knowledge and understanding of the game. I hope he does -- and in a better manner than how he came across on GC.

You will receive a prompt refund from Stanford; you need not worry about that. He always does that with those he is forced to deal with in this manner.

In my opinion, Stanford displayed more patience with you than with anyone else he has ejected -- far more. Perhaps that is because you really do have a good head on your shoulders. You are fully capable of authoring good, sensible, informative posts. Unfortunately, you just cannot get out of your own way with the endless personal attacks. You received repeated warnings and good advice regarding you personal misconduct from all points of the political spectrum. You chose to ignore it all. You even told Stanford's representative on the board to "Shove it" when he tried to warn you.

The real, serious tragedy of your circumstance is that it is bound to happen to you repeatedly in other aspects of your life because you still, genuinely, do not understand what happened to you. You consider yourself to be a victim. Victims have no reason to change because they are not responsible for their personal circumstances. A victim who is the author of his own problems just continues to be "victimized" until something happens to make him realize that he needs to change. Evidently this incident was not it.

Good luck in your future endeavors.

I posted conservative viewpoints for a couple of years on the opinions page. Sure, things got testy sometimes, but there was no lynch-mob calling for my ouster (and I suspect I may have even less tact than you do).

Of course, that was a while back. The statute of limitations may have come and gone on that issue. ;)

There are only two books I ever purchased for the purpose of giving away, and neither was the Holy Bible. I have given Dale Carnegie's book to several who suffered from socialization problems, including my troubled son.

I found the key idea in the mid-1930s corny, but certainly far from hoaky, tome to be that our fate, fortune and future is formed by the opinion of us held by other people. We form this opinion with everything we say and do. There is nothing shallow or false or deceitful in forming this opinion of us in a positive fashion.

Chappy is testimonial to the worth of this advice.

If people were offended by the posts you made they could have simply not read them, but instead deny you the freedom our soldiers are fighting to defend and protect in Iraq and Afghanistan. Of course this means nothing to many, like Cyrus, as he, Cyrus, is not even an American citizen. In fact if I remember correctly he has a strong dislike for the U.S. and those freedoms dear to us, like free speech.

I think the real story here is that you stepped on some powerfull toes, (with the truth you were posting), and they have used this as an excuse to eject you from the private club.

And we should discount any statement by Cyrus, ignore his intellectual content, because of his foreign birth?

If Chappy demands a refund for green chip, can we remunerate him to not vituperate within the free pages? Does he take PayPal?

My sympathy level is at zero. I have experience dealing with the emotionally handicapped much more extensive than I wish it were. As much as we would like them to, as much as we try to help them to, due to what may be simple imbalances in brain chemistry, they do not get better. Notice how he assigns no blame to himself. Normal people shouldn't be burdoned with him. Consider his expulsion in the nature of a public [mental] health measure, comparable to the fate of Typhoid Mary.
