One of the charity poker rooms also has BJ. I know it's a very bad game. Can someone tell me how bad. The rules are 6 deck, DA2, DAS 4 hands,H17,NS, RSA once, BJ pays even money, Suited BJ pays 3/2, with a 2 deck cutoff. Limits are $1 to $25. Tables are always full 6 spots. How much would a Hi-Lo player lose per hour. Thanks in advance.

At any rate, betting $1 at TC<=+1, $6 at +2, and $25 at +3 & up will give you an IBA of 0.322%, a Win/Hour of $0.96, a St. Dev./Hr. of $80.23, and a SCORE of 1.44 (gross!). A $5K BR will give you a 22.4% RoR.

You must have overlooked that a common BJ pays only even money (only suited ones get paid 3:2).So the house edge in that game is more than 2%:totally unplayable.
Such games shouldn't be allowed to call themselves Blackjack!

...had I used 3:2 on all BJ's, the same 25:1 spread would have been somewhat more profitable: a WR of $2.74, an IBA of 0.916%, and a SCORE of 11.68.
Granted, it's not a great game, but I imagine the heat would be tolerable ;-)

With -2% off the top you can obviously not start raising your bets at TC+2. And I'm not even sure whether you'll ever get a positive round. Since the BJ-Bonus is virtually eliminated a TC-unit doesn't have the same value anymore.

I did set unsuited BJ's to 1:1, but accidentally had suited BJ's paying 5:2, rather than 3:2.
Once I fixed that error, I found that a TC of +5 gives the player a positive expectation. However, even a spread of 1x$1 for TC<=+4 and 3x$25 for TC>=+5 does not give the player an overall advantage, since only about 3% of the rounds are at +5 or higher.
Thus, you were right all along, Francis Salmon!
