Hello all. This is the first time I've ever posted.I live in Northern Nevada. I moved up here this last summer from Arizona primarily to play blackjack and poker. I've been a counter for years, but before moving up here, I only played while on vacation, so I was never in any one casino for too long. The games up here in Reno/Sparks, Carson City, Minden, and Topaz Lake are fairly good if you seek out the best games. Between these areas there are at least 10 casinos that offer single deck, 3:2 payoffs on blackjack, dealer hits soft 17, double on any first two cards, no double after splits, one card each to split aces, insurance, and usually about 60% to 65% penetration. Two of these ten casinos also offer late surrender with the above mentioned game. Limits very, but are usually $3-300 or $5-500, although the Nugget in Sparks has a bigger game with these rules $25-$2000 (sorry, no surrender offered at this game). I've been playing 20 to 30 hours a week now for about 6 months between these ten casinos, trying to very my playing time over different shifts and never playing for more than an hour at a time in any one casino. Playing high/low,I usually bet a spread of: base unit of $25 for counts of zero, drop to $10 for all negative counts, $50 for +1, $75 for +2, $100 for +3, and $125 for plus +4 or greater. Ive been doing quite well (when I am allowed to play).
So here is the frustrating part. I've been backed off now at five of those ten place aver the last 3 months. They always invite me to stay and play the other games in their casino, but that I am no longer welcome at the blackjack table. I have thought about changing my appearance (I currently have a beard, long hair, no glasses) and I was thinking about shaving the beard, cutting the long hair (possibly dying it) and getting some fake glasses so I could begin going back into some of the places that have backed me off. Here is my question. If I do change my appearance and attempt to go back into these places and play blackjack after I have been told not too, am I breaking any laws in Nevada? Can any of these casinos arrest me for tresspassing even though they have yet to read me the Nevada Trespass Act? If I was to be cornered by security and taken forcible to a backroom in order for them to read me the trespass act, take my picture, sift through my pockets, and I ask me questions, am I being detained illegally at that point? Or would the casino have the right to do this since I've been backed off in the past (not barred - just backed off)? Any advice woulod be helpful. I want to keep playing, but the casinos are making that increasingly difficult to do and I don't like the thought of being arrested and hauled off to jail. Thanks.
