A store in my area has recently done away with its 25 cent chips; as a result, the commission on a $15 winning bank wager is 50 cents (3.33%) and $1.00 on a $25 wager (4%)
COuld any of the math gurus on this board tell me what this lowers the house edge to for the $15 and $25 bets respectively?

Banker wins about 53 percent and the 5 percent commision takes it to 48 percent. I don't have my source with me, I think it was at the bookstore. No one has answered yet but from what I remember that is correct. Also you can bet anything that would require .25 commision or .75 commission. $35, $55, $75 etc. I would reduce the house edge nonetheless obviously.

.6% and .3% respectively. Interesting. Unfortunately $15 won't get you much in comps, and the bank wager still can't be counted for very much in the way of profit. Pretty good if you like gambling I guess.

For 8-deck game:
House 5% commission House advantage: 1.058%
House 4% commission House advantage: 0.599%
House 3.3% commission House advantage: 0.292%
For 6-deck game:
House 5% commission House advantage: 1.056%
House 4% commission House advantage: 0.597%
House 3.3% commission House advantage: 0.290%
For 3.33% commission game if you bet on Banker, you'll lose 4 cents per 15-dollar bet in average. The house has a very little advantage.
