Avoid Harrah's LV

6:5 Blackjack on a shoe game. Never thought to look for a sign like this at the table. When the first BJ was paid at 6:5 (not mine), I
asked the dealer about it and he showed me it said it right on the felt. Took my chips, told the other players how bad this was, and they just looked at me blankly and kept on playing. There seems to be no recession in Las Vegas, although waiters say people are spending less. My guess is people have not cut down on their alcohol consumption.

I think most of us here rate HET's blackjack games all somewhere from totally unplayable to borderline at best with perhaps one or two high limit exceptions.
The 6/5 shoe games may only be located in "special sucker" pits, where dealers are dressed like famous people, sing or wear sexy outfits. Those special suckers do not understand that they are paying a heavy price for poor entertainment.

I have personally seen a eight deck, H-17; CSM 6:5 blackjack game at Harrah's and the dealer was not wearing a costume or impersonating anyone. I saw the same game next door at the Flamingo.

I am barred from HET but I actually thought that only O'Sheas had 8 deck 6/5, but nothing surprises me when it comes to bad blackjack from those people.

The dealer was not dressed in a funny costume and this was not a party pit.

Harrah's LV now has only 2 pits outside of high limit with 3-2 BJ. The remaining 4 are all 6-5, and only one of said 4 is a "party pit." (that being the Toby Keith pit near the north entrance.)
