JOB TITLE:
Service Engineer/Product Support Analyst
YRS OF EXP:
Minimum 3 years required.
JOB POSTING:
Provide remote technical assistance support for all MindPlay Products. This includes the ability to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve all reported customer issues/problems 24/7. Effectively manage customer relationships by correctly prioritizing issue severity levels, implement immediate corrective action/workarounds, issue RMA's, escalate priority one service outage issues with internal MindPlay resources and thoroughly document all symptoms and steps taken to resolve customer service requests. This position will directly interface with Quality, Program management, Manufacturing and Engineering representing the customer as their primary advocate, and will be required to review and approve all ECO's, product deviations and new product HW/SW releases. Reports to the Manager, Technical Assistance Center. Ability to travel 50% of the time.
Required Experience:
- Basic electronics knowledge: computer motherboard architecture, firewire, grounding, power, etc.
- Troubleshooting experience: Electrical, Mechanical and Systems
- Background in embedded system software development
- WAN/LAN/WAP: server setup, architecture, administration, configuration
- Project coordination; effective organizational skills, reporting, and customer follow up
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Preferred Experience:
- Competent in vision engineering and image analysis algorithm design
- Operating system customization using Windows XP Embedded, Linux
- Manufacturing assembly and test experience (e.g. ESD, soldering, rework, etc)
- Formal training on Network administration, MIS or other certification programs
- MS and NV gaming permit.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Windows: (Win2K, WinXP, Office, MS-Project), Oracle basic database administration-9i, Linux, Apache, Firewall administration
Education:
Electronics technician (AA or equivalent)
Casino experience strongly preferred
