anyone here play 50% penetration double deck games succesfully?

Lately I've had some poor results in these games. Any one here make money in these games? If so what kind of spread do you use. Ive been using a 1-20 spread with pretty bad results but probably havent played enough hours to find out if its beatable or not.

With only 50% penetration the game is beatable, but just barely. Don't expect to earn any money playing a game that bad. Your win rate will be tiny and your ROR will be large. It is simply not worth it.

That is what simulators are for! Don't throw your money away at the tables without knowing what to expect in terms of EV, SD, ROR, and N0. Barring that, at the very least find a better game to play.

As Sonny said, it's a lousy game. But you can beat it...

Your 1-20 spread should produce 4.5 units per hour (assuming hi-lo, I18, Fab4, S17, DAS, NoLS). Standard deviation is 66 units per hour. c-SCORE is about 50... If you don't use hi-lo, or you use more indices, let me know and I can give you numbers for the system you are actually using...

Given the choice of that game vs a 6d/75% shoe, I'd take the DD game with 2x the score, but both are low on the totem-pole...

if heat was low, 20 times spread should be OK. I played last year at LV a game like that... been lucky... won $8K spreading $100 2 boxes to $800 2 boxes in 20 hours... very lucky I wanted to add again... I also won from another 50%-pen low heat DD game which had better rules in Europe like ES10. I spreaded 175 times though.

The key here is "how many potential favorable betting opportunities per shuffle," for which pen is only one factor.

IOW, 50% pen & you with 4 other players -- no chance, do not play -- you'll get a max of 3 rounds per shuffle.

You and 2 other players -- reasonable -- you'll get 5-6 rounds per shuffle.

You and no other players -- excellent -- you'll get 9-11 rounds per shuffle.

My advice: go in the early morning hours -- say 4 am to 8 am, when you've got the best chance to play head up or with only 1 other player.

Why you keep shuffling, are you scared we will run out of cards? If you do I'll take care of you. Leave the last part out.

You have to be willing to spread big (10-1 at least) and use almost no cover.
